Hello Shavonne,
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your resource "National Black Child Development Institute" as I used to teach at a predominantly African American School where children were underprivileged and didn't have appropriate living needs (food, water, shelter, clothing). Parental involvement was very inadequate at home, never the less at school. With organizations such as this, the lives of these children are sure to improve.
The course resources that you sited are very helpful. Which ones would you use to help other colleagues gain more knowledge about early childhood education?
ReplyDeleteHi Shavonne,
ReplyDeleteNBCDI is a great organization! The Washington DC branch was able to write for and was awarded the T.E.A.C.H Scholarship. This allows anyone working in ECE to go and get their CDA, Associate, or Bachelors degree for little to no cost! I sat on their Advisory Board when I worked in the District and saw the wonderful impact it had on the providers.
Your blog was interesting. i would add a design and make it more colorful. It did not stand out to me, just my opinion. Not trying to be negative. I hope you enjoy your future courses.
